Konaev city, Nomad fortress and Tamgaly Tas tour
Description
Just a few kilometers from the city of Konayev, on the right bank of the Ili River, there is a place that takes us back to ancient times. There are many petroglyphs, images of mysterious deities, late Buddhist inscriptions on the black rocks with a tan. There are about 1000 various rock paintings available to observe. Historians date the inscriptions and drawings to the 12th century. Not far from the altar, there is another stone with inscriptions on the ancient Turkic runic writing dating back to the 8th-9th centuries. Presumably they were left by the ancient tribes of the Kipchaks.
